Oh, come on. It's not like you are the worst rper out there. Trust me, I have seen bad muns and you aren't so bad. Hell, people even tell me I am not such a great player because they claim I have an elitist attitude.

Don't take what they say to heart, dude. Just look at what they are saying. If they are claiming you don't have the right voice for your muses, then do a canon review! If they say you are not very friendly and inviting, try to become friendly and inviting.

Sometimes these HMD memes can be helpful as long as you see the relevancy within the concrit from your peers. If the shit they say isn't relevant, then ignore it.

Unlike what most people think, you do not have to be a fucking doormat towards those who want to give you critique.

You do have the right to pick and choose what you think is useful in their ranting and work on that.

I can't canon review when I'm either at work, asleep, or making tags. I can't go on hiatus, because I can't stand knowing something pivotal that I know a character should have been a part of. I can't canon review when I don't have time to actually DO it...

I'm not saying I suck completely, just at MOST of my characters.

I got admit, that was my downfall in TST. I should have taken hiatuses more seriously because when life started attacking me, I was not doing very well.

I know its hard to take a hiatus sometimes, especially when you feel you are missing out on things but sometimes you need too.

Which characters are people hung up on? From what I last remembered, you rped as Zappa, Rider and that Tir-look-alike dude.

Maybe you need to figure our what is their goal in Discedo?

I know that with Riou, he seems as headstrong as Tir about helping others and such...so maybe he should join one of the forces established in the game? Not necessarily the police force but the local militias and such?

As for Zappa, what is his motivation?

Then maybe you should ask the ones concriting your Riou to sort of help with that? I do not think it will be possible for you to get Riou connecting with other people's characters if they are not willing to help you out with that.
It takes a little bit from others to help you establish such connections but if people are avoiding that muse...then it becomes impossible.

That is what I am having trouble with too. I don't know what to post in general for Gabranth or Cao Cao.

In fact, I have come to a conclusion that they wouldn't be so talkative towards people in a strange land.

I think with me, I focus more on my canonmates because of that...

However, does Riou have any qualms about talking to other people?

No, I try to put myself out there whenever I see an opening. Being the main character who goes up to people at random and magically recruits people, I think I'm doing good in that respect.

Did you really delete Rider's journal and everything over this? I just saw your thread in the HMD meme and I think you really handled this in a very poor way.

I mean, come on...

How...why did you delete everything like that? You know that's only to make people think of you are immature for doing that.

I really doubt the anons were trying to attack you(or I am hoping they weren't), so why did you react so badly? Are you not used to receiving concrit in general?

I'm not used to it, because it's always been negative. And at the time, there were only the first 5 posts, which all say I was doing all my characters wrong.

I think that perhaps it was a little wrong for the anons to leap upon you like that, I personally hate when people do the whole "^This" motif but I do not think it was 100% negative per say.

I really think you should try to develop Rider more. I mean, you already have some idea of what she would be like but you do focus too much on her sexuality rather than her character type. As pointed out, her original canon is a sex game but their is other adaptions of Fate Stay Night that doesn't cater to that genre of the hentai game.

Maybe you should focus her from the anime, perhaps?

Hey, don't think like that. I'm not sure of your other characters, but if you need help with any Suikoden characters, I can try my best to help. Also, I'm sure you have friends who also know the canon of your character, so you can also ask them to help you pinpoint what's wrong in a more positive light. Beating yourself down like this isn't going to help, and rp is meant to be fun, not something that makes you depreciate yourself.
