Alrighty folks I'm leaving for Houston pretty soon. Which, can be good or bad. Hopefully, I won't be nodding off on the way there so...

Anyway, I don't have one of them newfangled phones to post to LJ with, so, if someone could keep an eye on me through http://twitter.com/Zappa_slave my Twatter thing so everyone knows I'm okay and whatnot. I can post to that from my phone easily so.

I'm getting bored with RP. The longer it goes on, the more it seems like a chore, the less will there is to post, and even the inspiration for any new characters is easily kicked to the curb due to the greater and greater complications with apping. It's like with each new game I look at, they want more than the last, and, with my choice in characters, there's not enough about them to generate the minimum amount.

So... reading boards on GameFaqs for Dissidia...

ALready a dozen threads of "VOICE ACTING SUCKS" with a lesser extent of 'so and so's voice sucks'. Thus far, the majority is crying about 1. Shantoto, 2. Zidane, 3. Kuja

Knowing US... we know the whole situation with VAs and how they don't get to research. Hell, a thread about Kuja linked to some guy (forgot his name but he's voicing Kuja) and his clip reel on YouTube. He actually JOINED IN on a thread about his role as Kuja, and said what I expected to hear "I was given a script and muted scenes and just had to read it and match." And he was getting direction from a JP director (being translated to him) about how to do it, and he didn't like how he had to drag out the way he said some things.

BUT MORAL OF THE STORY IS... fanboys are already wanking about the VA's without realizing what they have to deal with when they record. That and I hate most of them for living near stores who're pushing it out early. I'm gonna spend all of Tuesday at GameStop/Subway waiting for the damn game. If I get there and it's not 'delivered' yet, I'll go rape the demo next door until it is.

So... fanboys wanking about Dissidia Voice acting... Discuss.

I think something's wrong between me and RP. Maybe it's work, or maybe it's cuz I started trying to play video games again too (there's stuff on console I want to play and so I am).

Or maybe I'm just not getting enough sleep lately, who knows.

But, I feel... disconnected somehow. I can still make my characters work, when it comes to person A saying something and my character B making a reply, but, when I have to pose, and there are games where I HAVE to post an entry, I have nothing. And I always feel guilty to my schedule when I don't keep up with it.

It's an activity schedule, not some crazy YOU MUST POST thing, just something to make sure I don't forget to post before I fail an activity check.

There's only two games where I keep to it, so that averages out to a post a day (sometimes two), but, I suppose spread among 12-14 characters, it gets hard. I kind of wonder about the people who play upwards of 20 and how they manage, but I realize that they focus more on some characters than others.

I think maybe... I feel welcome in whatever games, but I don't feel included. Whenever I see an offer to get in on a plot or something, I realize that I pass it up either because of my schedule at work (I'm usually asleep/working when stuff will happen) or because it's something I don't want to see happen to my character (usually injury or death). The latter though I think is the biggest issue. I wonder sometimes, "Why am I here?" but, then I get to tagging someone or sleeping, and I forget that I was having any troubles in the first place. But when I think too much about it, they come back and I wonder again, "What is my character doing? Why am I still here with them? What's the point? Why do I keep going on?"

Yeah, because if I just quit, my friend list on AIM would look FUCKING TINY and then what? I slowly fall into this 'locked up in my room' scenario that I spent 22 years stuck in.

So... here's a story...

I'm at work, and, up until recently, the EB(early bird/overnight) crew had suspicions about one of our members. Not like "you're stealing shit" suspicions but, "r u ghey" types. So, rather than ask, we leave it alone and just go about life, not caring if he was or not.

Recently, he tells us this tale, of having chased this girl named Tony (designating it was a girl's name) for the last 6 years, but never having got anywhere because she only liked girls. Poor dood. So, finally, he's cut 'her' off and made some srs changes; no more vidja gaim, no more smokey treat, and eating meat again (no more veggie-head). So, suspicions cleared, but who cares anyway.

TODAY... basically out of nowhere, as most of the night's topic was music and video games, he says 'So, my brother and Tony were hear last night' which was weird because a guy was with his twin brother.

DUN DUN DUN...

Of all people, aside from this Tony and his mom knowing... he basically comes out to me. Not all dramatically but, "Yeah, that Tony was a guy..."

"You play for that side?"

"Yeah..."

"Oh, okay..." then we just started exchanging other various life stories.

Moral of the story; a guy came out to me. Not really something I expected to happen in my life so... can we call that 'Achievement Unlocked'?

So, Last Monday, I lied to work, saying that Mike asked me to run the cosplay show for Anime Overload, since I decided to go and help with it.

Come today, guess who's running it?

I need a couple folks as staffers to help me do dis... it's the usual thing, help with signups, then help run the show (pretty much keeping ppl in line and getting them from A to B)

Here's a finely fucked up scenario.

I can't park my car at my own complex because it's considered 'wrecked'.

Right, cuz I have the money to get the back corner fixed and the windshield. I JUST got insurance on the fucker today. So, in order for me to retain my car until it's no longer called 'wrecked', I have to basically park it at work, and walk to work just to use my car.

Doesn't that completely defeat the purpose?

Firstly... Whilst playing Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2, Char's Zaku II's standard Musou (special awesome attack) is GREATLY similar to Kamen Rider Faiz's Crimson Smasher

Essentially, a Red Zaku II flying around on screen doing that first finisher

Secondly, mostly you JOSH, being the biggest KR nerd I know, any way of procuring that jam that was done during Hibiki Ongekidan on the last ep of Decade that came out?

Progress report.

There's a gold '97 Thunderbird in front of my building. It's officially named Gold Experience.

Uriko repairs are on hold until Neku is finished. Shorts are 80%, shirt is appx 30%. I need the wig mailed from Shandi.

Need to get money order for room for Fanime. I'll get it on the way to/from work tomorrow, for sure. Mail it off when I get home.

Why do my co-workers think that car get = gf get? Totally remedial.

HA... Anywho, I dug up the old password, did some tweaking here and there and turned our failure of an RP into a musebox.

You know, one of those things where you can just go and RP for the fuck of it, or test out a new character that you're not all that sure about. Or even bring one back from the dead.

So yeah... that. I'd like to keep it friend-centric, so if you're bringing in someone I probably don't already know, drop me a line and warn me so I don't go flipping out assuming that we've got some kind of troll in there. Cuz you know how RP likes to attract drama!
